S+S

So as you all know moving was VERY hard for me and I wasn't sure if I could do it. I miss my family and friends a lot....BUT I am sooo glad that I met Summer! We've only known each other a short while now, but it feels like we've been friends for ages. She is good people. Summer and Chris and their adorable kids have made this transition so much easier for us.

Thanks guys :)

On a less sappy note, Summer and I mod-podged the crap out of our light switch covers! They turned out great.

Summer made some adorable covers for Lila's room. Mine are the boring ones.
(Sorry, I forgot to photograph Kai's)

These are now residing in my kitchen. The bottom, tree one was once our wedding invitation!

Summer, bless her heart, will one day maybe get me to cook.

Kory holding the beautiful Lila. This may be the second child he's ever held.

I don't deserve this cookie dough...

Preface: About three days after moving into our little home a little boy came to my door asking if I wanted to buy cookie dough " to make his school more better ". You all know what a sucker I am so I told him I would BUT I didn't have any cash. He said he would come back the next day, and sure enough he did. I ordered some cookies and distinctly remember him says it would be here October 5th. October 5th came and went. I complained to Kory on more than one occasion that the punk little kid took my money and probably bought himself some Burger King. Or something.

This Morning: My friend Summer and I were at the Costco and she was saying she has always wanted to buy the big box of cookie dough and it reminded me of the mean little kid who came to my house selling me cookie dough " to make his school more better " and how upset I was that he stole my money blah blah blah...

Today at 5:03pm: I got a knock at the door and sure enough the not.so.mean.actually.really.adorable.little.kid was standing at my door with my cookie dough in hand. To make it worse, he proceeded to give me helpful cooking hints with using the frozen dough.

Although he didn't know I cursed him several times, I felt really guilty. I have not lost all faith in youth these days. I already ate several spoon fulls of the dough. It is scrumptious.

What a humbling day.

Ruff Week.

Dear Xander and Kingsley,

You are so.very.lucky. that mom and dad love you so much to have spent over $600 this week alone on you boys. But we did, and it's because we love everything about you boys. You bring so much joy to our lives and we would do anything for you. Obviously.

Besos,

Mom and Dad.

Holden boy was the cutest monkey. This was my pretend costume to office-trick-or-treat.

Saturday evening. Lots' of rump shaking to be had!

My awesome brother-in-law. Cohen, a "scary" dinosaur.

At Novell. So.much.candy. Thanks Dad!

Kory the Viking!
I don't know what possessed me to be a treasure troll... but when I commit, I commit 100%! It took three people and 1.5 hours to get my hair to stick straight up. I also decided a nude-suit equals endless possibilities when it comes to costumes. I had a lot of fun in Utah and went to many, many festivities... The best part is I flew home Sunday, Halloween day, and got to celebrate again with Kory and the amazing Welch family!

I.love.Halloween.

I already have a few ideas for next years costume. Get excited.

My trip to Utah so far...

I haven't even been gone that long, but it feels so good to be back home. It's a lot of fun being the visitor :) It's like you're a novelty and everyone wants to see you and feed you. It.is.awesome. I have done so much already, and I am here until Sunday. I know the weekend will be jam-packed-full-of-fun-OMG it will need its' own post. So here are some photos.

Cohen. I happy cried when I saw him at the airport. I love this kid to pieces.
I cannot kiss this baby enough. He is the sweetest baby I have ever met. What a chunk.

My sis-in-law Lauren, Cohen and I mod-podged some letters. They all turned out so cute.

Apparently it costs a ton in tax to ship things to Washington (lame) so I had my laptop shipped to Utah and waited so patiently to have it! It is TINY and I love it. thank you woot.com.

Cohen really, really, really, wanted to make colored popcorn. So we did. It wasn't as yummy as I would have liked but it was a ton of fun to make.

He really wanted green popcorn!

Blurry picture (Andrew :P) of some of my siblings at Whitnee's wedding.

My baby, sister Stacie asleep. How cute is she?

We have gone to DI several times to find things for our awesome costumes. Unfortunately I could not convince Stef to buy this one. But she sure looks cute.

I LOVE SNOW! So I am glad it snowed. I cannot wait to come home for Christmas and go snowboarding.

We love visitors!

October 14-17, 2010
Kory's mom and her husband Brian came to visit us. We had so much fun! I can't believe how much we did while they were here. Here are the highlights.

The aquarium. It is the best aquarium I have ever been to. They had so many cool fish that I have never seen. They let you touch a ton of fish too, which was awesome.  They also had otters, penguins, sea lions.
Brian, Laila and Kory at aquarium.

My favorite fish of the day.

Awesome fountain in front of the aquarium.

Boat tour - This was a lot more fun than I anticipated. It made me like Seattle a little bit more :) It was absolutely breath-taking to see the skyline of the city. It was a beautiful day also, so that helps. It actually doesn't rain as much as people say. If it does rain, it's more of a mist.

Lunch/Shopping- Brian and Kory were set on finding some good fish-n-chips and they found Ivars. Apparently it was delicious. I had subway, fish is the worst. We ate on the pier and fed the seagulls which was hilarious. Then we went shopping, which is always fun!

We bought a city pass and went to the Space Needle, Experience Music Project Museum, Pacific Science Center and the Zoo. They were all great places to go, but hands down the Science Center was the best! Not only did we see a sweet imax movie about bugs, we spent hours there and I feel like I could still go back and spend just as much time seeing new things. We had a blast here.

This was a balance test that usually resulted in people landing on their face which Kory totally did.
This is a man. I promise.
At the science center they had an awesome room full of butterflies that landed on your head.

We had an eventful weekend. We saw a lot more of the city. Thanks Brian and Laila for the visit.

Who is coming to visit us next?
